It’s brash. It’s funny. It’s original. The new novel “Grimsby—Beauty and the Legal Beast” tells the story of the lives and loves of a “legal beast” — a fearless, one-of-a-kind attorney devoted to his work and his women (but not necessarily in that order). In addition to the story, the book provides “Bonus Coverage”, an ingenious philosophical rant that reveals the mysteries of the known Universe.

Grimsby-Beauty and the Legal Beast by G. Emmett Beaver is a vivid account of the triumphs and calamities of a sole practitioner lawyer dealing with people and problems you will recognize as your friends, relatives and neighbors. A lot of dark humor. Includes an unusual Bonus Coverage section unrelated to the novel which addresses confounding life questions. Fun stuff.

This book was a hoot! Beauty and the Legal Beast is a compelling read due to the relatable and entertaining characters and the wry humor that runs through the book. I will definitely keep a lookout for the next book by this author.

Grimsby Beauty and the Legal Beast is the first book in a series centered on Grimsby, a young lawyer, navigating the roadblocks, failures, and successes that come with trying to do meaningful work in an imperfect world. As he confronts challenges, both personal and professional, he strives to right the wrongs he sees around him, guided by his own strong sense of justice. The writing style is distinctive and energetic, marked by sharp sarcasm and humor that give the story a unique voice. An added Bonus Coverage is a thoughtful supplemental material, which raises interesting and challenging questions- the kind many of us would like to explore more deeply. Overall, the book offers an imaginative premise and a strong foundation for a continuing series.
